Samsung Tri Fold Phone: Specifications, Advantages, Disadvantages & Public reaction

Since the last few years in smartphone industries. We all see very innovative inventions by the smartphone companies and also see latest technologies that smartphone companies use in their smartphone like: curve display technology, pop up camera technology, flip phone technology, fold phone technology but this time Samsung upgrade their fold series with tri fold phone. This phone can fold two times which make it different from normal foldable phones. This shows how mobile technology is growing up day by day.

Samsung launched their Samsung Galaxy Z tri fold phone In December 2025.
But the launch was not worldwide.  Samsung didn’t launch this phone In India. This Samsung Galaxy Z tri fold phone released in few countries like: South Korea, United States, UAE and in some other countries. This was not a normal launch like other phones Samsung released only a small number of units to test how people react to this new design. According to the reports Samsung produce only 20,000 to 30,000 units.

The design of this phone is very interesting. It has three parts and two hinges because of this mechanism the phone can fold in different ways. This tri-fold phone makes your experience more futuristic because when the phone is folded the screen size is 6.5 inch and when the phone is unfolded then the screen size is 10 inch. Which gives you almost tablet like experience. This is useful for watching videos, movies, playing games and it is also good for multitasking and this phone Is the world’s first slimmest folding phone because when the phone is unfolded then the thickness of this phone is 3.9mm.

Advantages of tri fold phone:

One of the biggest advantages of this tri-fold phone is its flexibility. The user can use it in different ways depending on their needs. When phone is folded It works like a normal smartphone which is easy to carry for the user and when the phone is fully open or unfold It became a large screen device like a tablet this make it very useful for watching videos, attending online meetings & for gaming etc.

Doing three tasks in same time is the other advantage of this phone. User can open multiple apps at the same time on a bigger screen. For example: the user can play videos on one screen and doing other functions on remaining displays. Even this tri-fold phone is very advanced. But it also has some disadvantages like: 
One of the main problems is durability. The phone has two hinges and folds multiple times. It may become weaker over the time. There is a higher chance of damage compared to normal smartphone.

Another issue is the price of this smartphone. This smartphone is very expensive which make it difficult for common people to buy this smartphone. Only a small group of users can afford it. The estimated price of this phone in Indian market Is 4,00,000 rupees so this price segment makes a huge gap between this phone and the common peoples.

• The phone is also thicker and slight heavier than a normal phone. 
• The repair cost of this phone is very high which is another drawback of this phone.

When Samsung launched their tri-fold phone many people were surprised and excited tech lovers and reviewers were very interested in this new design many people like the idea of having a phone that can turn into a tablet It looked futuristic and different from another smartphones
Some users are worried about the durability and the high price of the phone. It is a new type of device so many people were not sure about it. Because of this most people prefer to wait for future version instead of buying the first model.
